    The Egyptian museum is one of the most important sources of modern culture as the museum consists of ancient Egyptian civilization which is attracted and influenced others of ancient world’s civilizations like Greek and Romans one . The Egyptian Museum was first built in Boulak. In 1890 .It was moved to Giza Palace of “Ismail Pasha” which housed the antiquities that were later moved to the present building that built during the reign of Khedive Abbass Helmi II in 1897, and opened on November 15, 1902.

    The Egyptian Museum is situated at Tahrir square in Cairo. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world, there are also other masterpieces dating from the Pre-dynastic period till the Greek Roman period. Once you entered the museum There are good security checks while entering the building and a beautiful garden which display statues and amazing papyrus lake.

    The museum consists of 107 halls, and over 120000 objects displayed there, And two main floors and a store room, at the ground floor there are the huge statues. The upper floor has small statues, jewels, Tutankhamen treasures and the mummies, and many sections arranged in chronological order. The Museum also comprises a photography section and a large library. And don’t forget to visit, the hall of the royal mummies which housing kings and queens mummies dated back to over 5000 years old.
